Second meeting of the Regional Council of the legislature and already red-hot political climate. The feeling is that today at Palazzo Campanella the decibels of the discussion will rise, and quite a bit. Thanks (or fault) to an agenda which includes some points intended to impact the institutional structure of the Region.
The centre-right majority aims to bring home the approval at first reading of some changes to the Calabrian Statute this evening. Among the main innovations: the implementation of national legislation which allows Regions with a population of between 1 and 2 million – as is the case of Calabria – to increase the Council from 7 to a maximum of 9 members.
