The blue table has officially settled, the new comparison and programming body dedicated to the Calabrian fishing sector.
The first meeting took place in recent days in the Citadel, in the presence of the regional councilor for agriculture, Gianluca Gallo.
The table, which stands as a strategic tool to deal with the critical issues of the sector, promoting the shared planning of the development policies of the sea resource and fish activities, has met representatives of the five Calabrian provinces, of the world of cooperation and of the AGCI category associations, Legacoop, Confcooperative, Fishing Anopes, Unimar), as well as experts in the sector, representatives of the Universities of Cosenza and Reggio Calabria Port Authorities and Peach and Aquaculture Gal.
During the meeting, he took stock of the state of the Calabrian fish sector, With particular attention to the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of the National Feampa 2021-2027 program, the European Fund for Maritime Affairs, Fishing and Aquaculture, which represents an important development lever for the sector.
Councilor Gallo, in particular, underlined the importance of dialogue between institutions and operators in the sector to guarantee sustainable management of fishing and marine resources, promoting innovation and competitiveness.
The meeting ended with the commitment to periodically update the table to monitor progress and define concrete actions in support of the Calabrian fish supply chain.
