They ended up on trial Antonio Campisiaged 82, and Luigi Campisi, 48 year old, authors of the “Campisi Village” in the Gabella area which – according to the Crotone Prosecutor’s Office – was built in violation of the current general development plan and regional regulations. This is what the judge of the Court of Crotone, Giulia Crisci, decided yesterday. Which, at the end of the pre-trial hearing, ordered the continuation of the trial against both defendants who must answer for illegal development. For them the hearing will begin on 9 May 2025 in front of judge Chiara Daminelli. The investigation coordinated by the public prosecutor Pasquale Festa and conducted by the carabinieri came to light in October 2023 with thethe preventive seizure of the structures upon order of the judge of preliminary investigations and also confirmed by the Court of Cassation. The two entrepreneurs ended up under accusation as legal representatives of “Global Service Construction”, the company that holds the building permit and commissioned the construction work on the 74 houses. Antonio Campisi, director of the “Campisi Antonio” company, is also accused of having built the properties in contravention of urban planning provisions. According to the investigators, instead of a camping village with 72 wooden bungalows equipped with refreshment and rest areas, as established by the authorization issued by the Municipality of Crotone in 2008, the Campisi Village would have become a tourist settlement.
