A 37-year-old Bulgarian criminal arrested, seriously suspected of the crimes of “violence and resistance to a public official” and “injury”
The request for intervention in a restaurant in Rossano
What happened began with a request for intervention made to «NUE 112», through which the manager of a restaurant in Rossano Centro had reported that a foreigner at his business, after having consumed a meal, had refused to pay the amount due and had displayed aggressive behavior towards the other people present. Within the public exercise, the military initially tried to bring the subject to reason, later identified as a homeless Bulgarian citizen with several police records, but to no avail. The foreigner, in response, attacked the soldiers. Led outside, he launched another very violent attack on one of the carabinieri of the crew, while the other soldier, after having ordered him to desist, had no other option than to use the “Taser”, or the electric pulse gun. Thanks to the use of this tool, in addition to the support of a second patrol of the State Police, the person arrested in the act of committing the listed crimes was restricted to the security rooms provided by the force, waiting to be subjected to immediate trial.
Injuries to the military
Both soldiers of the force suffered injuries, while the person held responsible for the affair had no consequences.
