Martino di Messina was presented this morning this morning. A model structured with a view to proximity to cardiology and in which rehabilitation becomes an integral part of the care paths. A project started in this start -up phase thanks to a Partnership with the IRCCS Bonino Pulejo of Messina Which, through an interacting agreement, will make some of its professionals available for the first period given that the IRCCS has already started this type of activity in the cardiology department with UTICs of the Piedmont Hospital in the past. The added value is represented by a multidisciplinary team composed of more professionals: cardiologist, physiotherapist, psychologist, nutritionist. A project that reflects the regional guidelines and allows you to give development plan to the potential of physical and rehabilitation medicine (COD 56) offering the population a reality with total public management.
Near the cardiology department, patients will be able to count on 6 dedicated beds of rehabilitation and a gym equipped with 4 cycles, 2 treadmills and a heart -pounded test.
Cardiological rehabilitation is an essential activity for cardiopathic patients hospitalized in cardiology and/or in coronary intensive care units.
