Carpfishing is a sport fishing technique that provides for the capture of the carp (Cyprinus Carpio), with advanced methods and techniques, which are treated with the utmost care, and its immediate release after making the ritual photo.
The regulation, which determines the methods and territorial limits of operating this type of fishing, was approved by the Council of the Calabria Region, on the proposal of the commissioner Gianluca Gallo, in compliance with the state and regional regional regional regulations, establishing the prohibitions and administrative obligations necessary, according to principles of protection and conservation of the fish heritage, rational management and compatibility of sport fishing.
“With the regulation – said Gallo – we wanted to give a concrete signal of attention to the numerous fans of this sporting fishing, widespread also in the Calabrian internal watersurged by the ‘Carpfishing Calabria’ amateur sports association, for which I thank President De Siena for the precious collaboration insured to our department, providing specific technical indications necessary to be able to introduce a valid discipline that allows fishermen to be able to correctly exercise it, guaranteeing the maximum protection, safeguard and respect for this fish species and also of the environment in which fishing is turned. To this end, an express reference has also been provided for the penalties to be applied in the event of violations of the requirements that the regulation has introduced. This regulation – finally specified Gallo – also represents the starting point for the introduction of other rules that will have to ensure greater protection of fish species and aquatic environments and, in this direction, we will work to better regulate the matter of fishing that represents a flywheel for the economy, tourism and promotion of our territory “.
De Siena expressed great appreciation and gratitude towards the commissioner Gallo and the lawyer Luigi Bulotta who, on behalf of the department, prepared the draft of the regulation who, together with article 10 bis, definitively approved, integrate the regional law.
