The Kurdistan workers’ party will hold a ceremony in the next few hours with which he will abandon the weapons, after the historic decision to dissolve the group made in recent months from Abdullah Ocalanthe leader of the PKK imprisoned since 1999. The event is scheduled in a village near Sulaymanyya, in the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan. According to the local media, about twenty members of the PKK, a group considered terrorist by Ankara and which has carried out a conflict with the Turkish army for over 40 years, will symbolically burn the weapons, practicing the disarmament announced in recent months.
