The municipal council ratified the budget changes by majority and approved, again by majority, the municipal regulation for the organization of celebrations of marriage vows, civil marriages and the establishment of civil unions.

Four points were placed on the Agenda of the City Council convened by President Sofia Maimone for last Monday: the ratification of City Council Resolution no. 249 of 07.11.2025, adopted pursuant to Art, 175, paragraph 4, of the Legislative Decree. n. 267/2000 concerning emergency change to the financial forecast budget 2025/2027 with application of the administration surplus – set aside and restricted quota, on which the deputy mayor and budget councilor Giuseppe La Regina reported, the approval of the municipal regulation for the organization of celebrations of marriage vows, civil marriages and the establishment of civil unions, on which the vice-president of the Council Ida Spezzano reported, the registration in the Register municipal of the Associations of the “ADITEC” association, on which the mayor Gianpaolo Iacobini reported, and was approved unanimously.

“The urgent budget change – commented Deputy Mayor Iacobini – in particular, serves to adapt the resources to the operational needs that have emerged and guarantee the continuity of services. The maneuver, again, has made it possible to insert new revenues and related expenses, to strengthen the funds dedicated to social policies and to launch financed projects such as the FAMI, as well as applying shares of the surplus to improve the IT equipment of the offices and compensate for lower revenues on the road system. A necessary step to continue without slowdowns in the planned interventions”.

The session opened with the discussion of an interpellation by Councilor Antonello Avena regarding “Council interpellation on municipal insolvency regularities announced between 2020 and 2025 and on any initiatives that the Administration intends to undertake to restore transparency and trust”. This point, together with that on the municipal regulation for the organization of celebrations of marriage vows, civil marriages and the establishment of civil unions, has created much debate among the councilors who make up the assembly.
