I am 42 young civil service volunteers which, starting from Tuesday 1st July, will take Service in various sites of the Archaeological and Landscape Park of Catania and the ACI Valleyto support custody and use activities.
This is foreseen by an agreement signed between the Park and the Erei Ets Social Association of Troina, in the province of Enna, who through the announcement of the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service, presented the projects for the recruitment of young people. The boys have one age between 18 and 28 and the duration of the service will be 12 months.
“We are proud and satisfied – said the Councilor for Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity Francesco Paolo Scarpinato – to have completed an initiative like this which will allow young people to make an important and constructive experience and the park a more agile management of some sites with a high flow of visitors and reopen to the public to Casa Liberti and Santa Venera on the well. The goal is to extend this initiative as soon as possible to other places of culture, to increasingly enhance our heritage and offer new opportunities to young people “.
In this case, the sites of the Catania park affected by the initiative are the Antico Theater, Casa Liberti, Church of San Francesco Borgia, Terme Romano, Terme della Rotonda in via della Mecca, Casa Verga and Archaeological Area of Santa Venera al Pozzo.
