Catanzaro, pier rental “skips”: serious critical issues in the certificates

Now it’s official: the agreement for the rental of the piers between Catanzaro Servizi and Molo del Sud srl has fallen through, as anticipated in recent days by the Southern Gazette. The sole director of the investee company, Antonio De Marco, has terminated the two-year rental contract of the floating docks to be installed in the third body of water of the port, on which the conference of services for the concession assignment is also nearing completion (on 10 November). The relevant documents were sent to the Participates office and to the Supervision and Control board commission. What pushed for the breaking of the agreement that was reached last June 17th – when the subsidiary was led by Gianluca Silipo – were some serious critical issues recorded in terms of the homologation certification of the piers, which was found to be non-existent.
