The temporary grouping of companies made up of Scamar srl and Sorico srl will provide the canteen service for the municipal schools of Catanzaro. On Wednesday, Palazzo De Nobili completed the procedures relating to the analysis of the offers received in relation to the tender announced in recent months, therefore the service can start. And it will do so very quickly: the service will start on October 16th.
The new assignment concerns the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years. The overall value of the contract is equal to 1.57 million euros plus VAT. Each meal has a cost – which was not subject to a reduction in the tender notice – of 5 euros (4.8 plus VAT).
The municipal estimates envisage approximately 107 thousand meals entirely paid for by the institution and a further 16 thousand meals at 50%, but the numbers may vary depending on the actual requests: the administration specifies, in fact, that the service is “on individual request” and that the Municipality will pay the successful company only the meals actually ordered and used, recorded via the municipal portal.
