Catanzaro Servizi, a relaunch… halfway. The company could look to the market

A short blanket and hypotheses to try to make Catanzaro Servizi “run”. Possible scenarios are being defined for the relaunch of the subsidiary company. The City Council has given the green light to the strategic and financial industrial plan drawn up by the sole director Gianluca Silipo in the last session before the summer break. But not all the possibilities contemplated in the first version of the document have been collected.
The lack of sufficient resources in the budget of Palazzo De Nobili has in fact led the municipal administration to opt for the assignment of only some economically relevant services out of the four hypothesized in the original plan. In essence, the direction will be to entrust the cleaning of the municipal offices to the company (which will also have effects in terms of employment, with the absorption of the personnel currently employed by the Meranese temporary association) which will thus be added to the cemetery services already entrusted last January; the management of votive lamps is also at stake. But at the moment the digitalization of the municipal archive and the maintenance of the greenery have been “jumped”, services that would have provided the subsidiary with greater revenues and consequent wider room for maneuver.
In fact, the sole administrator’s idea was to count on a series of new activities of economic relevance to have resources that would allow him to obtain bank credit and better manage the debt. Moreover, he would also face without too much trouble the transaction of 1.6 million in three years (against a debt of 2.24 million) with Aurora srl (“legacy” of the Parco Romani-Ente Fiera affair) and the acquisition of the premises of Palazzo Scaccomatto (Montes affair, formerly Sardaleasing).
