Signs of recovery from the Catanzaro area. In the province of Catanzaro alone, 297 new business registrations were registered in the July-September quarter. The data was released by the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro Crotone Vibo Valentia, as part of monitoring the performance of the local economy. As regards the period between July and September, Movimprese, the quarterly analysis conducted by Unioncamere and InfoCamere – found for the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia a positive balance of 142 economic activities, as the difference between 620 new registrations and 478 cessations of activity, with a quarterly growth rate of the stock – compared to 30 June 2023 – equal to + 0.22%, perfectly in line with the regional average data and not too far from the Italian average, +0.26%. As of 30 September 2023, there are 65,182 companies registered in the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia, of which 57,012 are active. Looking at the individual territories under the jurisdiction of the Chamber of Commerce, it is the province of Crotone which presents the highest quarterly growth rate of the stock, in comparison with the previous quarter (+ 0.39%); a figure that places the Crotone area in sixth place in the national ranking, in decreasing order, after Rome, Trieste, Milan, Bolzano and La Spezia.
For Catanzaro there was a growth rate of +0.16% and for Vibo Valentia +0.14%. The province of Catanzaro has the highest number of businesses registered in the quarter (32,938, of which 28,547 are active). Followed by Crotone with 18,239 companies (of which 15,964 active), and Vibo Valentia with 14,005 companies (of which 12,501 active).
