The wait for the signature is over. Marco Paonessa of Marko Paonessa ASP, and Gradara Corse Racing, the winning team of the 2023 season, which will follow the young talent from Catanzaro during the Aprilia RS66 Trophy, have made their collaboration official.
“I’m so happy to be part of this team! – declares Marco Paonessa – The team’s mentality reflects mine so I am sure that together we can do great things. I thank Carlo for his trust, and my entire team at home with the asd as head Andrea Veraldi, for their commitment to making this project come to life. The championship this year will have a very high level, starting with my teammates. It will be important to become familiar with the bike, having never ridden it, but we will try to work well during the tests to aim as high as possible in the championship rounds!
Having just turned 18 and with a long road ahead of him at full speed, Marco is ready for his launching pad thanks to a project started just a few months ago by Andrea Veraldi and Nuccio Paonessa (Marco’s friend and father respectively) who set up a staff to support Marco thanks to many sponsor friends, the collaboration of Luigi Conforto in the commercial area and Vincenzo Ranieri who coordinated the marketing strategies.
WHO IS MARCO
Marco is the youngest driver in the world to have debuted in the Fim Flat Track World Championchip supported by Omt flat track. He made his debut at a very young age in the various category championships. In 2017 he began competing in national level competitions. In 2018 he won the Sic Day Trophy. He competes in the Ohvale European Championship and finishes fourth in 2019 in the Mini Gp Under category and then arrives in the Yamaha world in 2020 until 2022 in the R3 CUP category. A sporting path on the rise, above all due to the ambition of the young Paonessa who wants to achieve more and more goals in the future, with the aim of reaching the Moto GP. Alongside the young talent from Catanzaro, in the management of the team and in the search for useful sponsors to face the huge expenses to be incurred in the various races, there are Andrea and Nuccio (Marco’s friend and father respectively), from the MARKO PAONESSA association 12 ASD established in October 2023 and made up of a team of specialized professionals, all with a single objective, to support the young talent from Catanzaro towards ambitious goals.
