The Carabinieri of the Cirò Marina Company have executed a precautionary measure, issued by the GIP at the Court of Crotone at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office, in which serious evidence of guilt is recognised against a forty-nine year old man investigated for the crime of aggravated sexual violence against a seasonal employee of his beach establishment.
According to the accusatory approach accepted by the investigating judge, the investigations, conducted since the beginning of August by the Carabinieri of Cirò Marina through telephone and environmental interceptions, hearings of people informed of the facts, searches and seizures, have allowed gather serious evidence of guilt in relation to several episodes of sexual violence committed against the young girl, the last of which occurred last July 25th and last August 1st.
The first investigations, conducted immediately after the complaint filed by the injured party, had already allowed us to acquire important elements, but the activities carried out subsequently, and in a more in-depth manner, have allowed further evidence to emerge.
The circumstantial evidence collected by the Carabinieri against the suspect was shared by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Crotone, which requested the issuance of a precautionary measure. The investigating judge, accepting the request, ordered the arrest of the subject, for which the doors of the Crotone prison were opened. The proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase, and, the execution of the precautionary measure will be followed by the preliminary interrogation and the confrontation with the defense of the suspect, whose possible guilt in relation to the contested crime will have to be ascertained during the trial in the adversarial process between the parties.
