The Catanzaro Subbuteo Club secured its place in Serie B at the end of the National Traditional Subbuteo Championship held in Genoa.
The Giallorossi team, made up of Bertolotti, Custo, Cordone, Nefi, Talarico, Tassone and Vasapollo beat Spes Livorno 2 to 1 in the play-off match.
A painful salvation, but which highlighted the strength of character of the Giallorossi group, who showed up for the decisive match against the Tuscan team with the right competitive energy and determined more than ever to hold on to Serie B.
Great satisfaction for the salvation achieved was expressed by the president of the Catanzaro Subbuteo Club, Paolo Talarico.
“During the championship we faced opponents of the highest technical level ready to compete for the national championship – said Talarico – but in the end we managed to overcome the obstacles that stood between us and remaining in Serie B. A special thank you goes to all the team, which never gave up, especially in the most difficult moments that arose during the tournament.”
“This result – concluded Talarico – is a clear sign of the longevity of the subbuteistic tradition in Catanzaro. The primary objective of our Club always remains to fuel the city’s passion for the fascinating and timeless Subbuteo”.
