The regional final of the Oscar Green 2025 award was held at the Parco Hotel Granaro in Sorbo San Basile (CZ), promoted by Coldiretti Giovani Impresa Calabria, which this year had “Natural Intelligence” as its theme.
Now in its nineteenth edition, the initiative annually rewards young entrepreneurs who are innovating agriculture with passion, creativity and courage, combining competence, tradition and technology. The competition involves thousands of young people throughout Italy and is divided into five categories: Friendly Campaign, Digital and Sustainable Business, Let’s Grow Together, Agri-Influencer and +Enterprise, in addition to special mentions awarded to particularly innovative and deserving projects.
During the morning, the agronomist and botanist expert Carmine Lupia, who deals with the protection of biodiversity and the promotion of environmental and landscape resources, spoke as a guest.

Sila Associati Potato Producers Consortium – awarded for the experimental activity that integrates micropropagation with aeroponic cultivation in the production of super-elite seed potatoes, making the supply chain more efficient, sustainable and competitive.
Category: FRIENDLY CAMPAIGN – GUARDIAN OF BIODIVERSITY
Pietro Aiello – Società Cooperativa Agricola Pianogrande – (Decollatura, CZ) – awarded for its ability to enhance local products through the FAI network – Italian Agricultural Supply Chain and Campagna Amica, creating a network of producers and a model of successful territorial cooperation.

Azienda Agricola Gennaro Lacquaniti – Francica (VV) – for having combined rural tradition with digital innovation, telling the story of daily agricultural life on social media and creating a community that enhances the company’s products and work.

Società Agricola – Feroleto Antico (CZ) – for the “Adopt an Olive Tree” project, which allows consumers to experience the production experience of Lametia DOP extra virgin olive oil up close, combining quality, traceability and sustainability, even at an international level.

Nicola Stilo – Società Agricola Sapori Antichi d’Aspromonte Srl – Canolo (RC) – awarded as a virtuous example of a short supply chain and family multifunctionality, capable of transforming a small Aspromonte village into a model of innovation, quality and tourist attractiveness.
SPECIAL MENTIONS
Nicola Durante – Azienda Agricola “Guerci” (Taverna, CZ) – for having combined the livestock tradition with the passion for western riding, transforming the family business into the headquarters of “Durante Horses” and promoting the Sila area through the Equiraduno event, which combines sport, nature and sociality.
Rosita Mastrota – Azienda Agricola Radica (San Lorenzo Bellizzi, CS) – for the sustainable and innovative management of the organic company located in the Pollino National Park, specialized in the cultivation of apples and berries and in the circular supply chain that enhances biodiversity, beekeeping and natural transformation of the products.
Enrico Parisi, National Youth Delegate of Coldiretti and Provincial President of Coldiretti Cosenza, highlighted how: «throughout Italy, with Oscar Green, we are meeting and rewarding dozens of young agricultural entrepreneurs who with passion and concrete action renew their territories of belonging. It is a liveliness that speaks of new models of agriculture – sustainable, digital, rooted in the territory – and for this reason it deserves equally concrete responses at a European level. We need rules and resources that create a system with the action of those who produce, innovate and believe in local communities. Our goal is to enhance agriculture for future generations, so that food, landscape and business are increasingly real drivers of development.»
On the occasion of the awards ceremony on 31 October, the name of the company selected among the regional winners to represent the region at the national final of the 2025 Oscar Green award in Rome was also announced by Coldiretti Calabria: it is Società Cooperativa Agricola Pianogrande di Decollatura (CZ).
