There is a substantial programmatic document prepared by the new Scientific Committee of the Corrado Alvaro Foundation which will become fully operational in the next few days, with the appointment of the President by the founding bodies, to design the new course of this body after the commissionership last March. The Commissioner of the Foundation, Luciano Gerardis, in presenting the organizational chart of the new Scientific Committee, «composed – he said – of people of the highest cultural level who have greatly enriched me on a professional, as well as cultural and human level».

«Corrado Alvaro – recalled Commissioner Gerardis – was one of the most modern writers of the Italian 20th century, for his writing and his thoughts. The program that the scientific committee of the Foundation has drawn up, the result of the meeting and comparison between the various proposals that emerged during the meetings held between the scholars involved in the creation of a renewed path for the Foundation itself, intends to follow the path of Alvaro himself, in an international perspective based on a well-defined cultural and anthropological identity”.
