The summer transfer market will bring back hot topics from the recent past. On the banks of the Crati, if there is no news regarding a corporate transfer, the chapter linked to transfers would be destined to take precedence over the one oriented towards entries. A year ago, several departures were frozen by former sporting director Fabio Lupo. Those of Ricciardi and Kouan were then recorded during the winter transfer session, when both started to tap their feet again once they aroused concrete interest from other clubs. And at least two more excellent starts are on the horizon this year.
Eugenio Guarascio’s Cosenza will return to showcase Simone Mazzocchi and Aldo Florenzi. Both have contracts expiring in June 2027 after the Via Conforti club exercised the right of renewal present in the previous contracts of the two players, key elements of the latest technical project. Since July, however, both the striker and the midfielder have been out of contract again and for the club from Sila there is a risk of losing them for free at the end of the next course. Mazzocchi and Florenzi, in fact, will be free to make agreements with other clubs starting from February 2027. Hypothesizing that the two could pack their bags much earlier is therefore not a gamble. At the top levels, the need to contain costs and monetize through some transfers will once again impose itself.
