A legend of world tennis will be the protagonist at the Chiappetta Sport Village. On Thursday 14 May 2026, the Rende facility will host the “Tennis High Performance Day”, a high-level training event organized in collaboration with the Emilio Sánchez Academy and the Napoli Tennis Center.

A career at the top of world tennis

Emilio Sánchez is one of the most prestigious names in Spanish and international tennis. During his career he won three Grand Slam doubles titles, won the Olympic silver medal in 1988 and was world number one in doubles in 1989. In 1991 he also reached number 7 in the ATP singles ranking, confirming himself among the best tennis players of his era.

His experience was then consolidated off the court too: in 2008 he led Spain to victory in the Davis Cup in the role of captain, contributing to the international success of the Iberian tennis movement.

ES360 training and method

Sánchez’s presence represents an important opportunity for athletes, technicians and enthusiasts. The training day will take place from 8.30am to 5pm and includes practical sessions on the pitch, technical and tactical insights and activities based on the ES360 method, developed by the Emilio Sánchez Academy to integrate technical, physical and mental preparation.

The initiative confirms the Chiappetta Sport Village’s desire to host events of an international profile and offer high-level training courses through collaboration with leading figures on the global sports scene.
