The newfound compactness in the council majority could accelerate the process of reshaping the council. An address that the mayor, Franz Caruso, has been pursuing for some time, but without worries. Essentially, there are three steps to be taken before the descent towards the polls begins for the choice of the new tenant of Palazzo dei Bruzi, even if the electoral date is not just around the corner. Yes, because in the capital the vote will start in about a year and a half. Caruso, however, would like to take an even quicker step towards relaunching administrative action, so as to complete the program submitted to the people of Cosenza in 2021.
On the political front, the intent is to reinvigorate the government team, finding the right balance between the parties that compose it, in order to continue along the path of the broad field, whose scaffolding seems to have held up well since the beginning of the mandate, despite some hiccups along the way, as happened in the pre-Christmas session of the Council, which was canceled due to the absence of some representatives belonging to the majority, subsequently regrouped and ready to approve, at the end of the year, the budget forecast.
