Bad moment for Cosenza? Yes, but nothing extraordinary. As Caserta claims in the pre-Cittadella press conference, the team has already had similar periods such as the double defeat against Modena and Brescia at the start of the championship.

«We come from two defeats – analyzes the coach Bruzio – it is clear that the team performs well in the first half, building an important amount of play but missing scoring opportunities. In the second half, however, due to our carelessness and the skill of our opponents we conceded a goal and then, as happened in some matches, we didn’t have the right reaction to bring home a positive result. We have to make the most of these mistakes to play a very difficult match against a team (Cittadella ndc) that is doing very well, has been playing with the same system for years and is top class. We know the difficulties of the match, but we prepared well to play a great match.”

The real problem seems to be precisely that of disuniting after going behind and in general the different attitude between the first and second half: «We have to stay in the game from the 1st to the 90th minute, perform the same in the two halves – confirms Caserta -. We are working on it and will continue to do so. We need to raise our attention even more. If we look at the latest results, it is normal for the opinions to be negative. However, if we analyze the opponents’ opportunities, we see that we don’t concede that much. We score goals and then everything becomes more complicated.”

The coach from Melito Porto Salvo continues to defend his team and the project that is being carried out: «This team has a clear, very precise identity, we must work to correct the defects. We are on a journey. We remind you that we are in line with the objective set at the beginning of the season which is to maintain the category, avoiding playing the playouts. I enjoy the utmost trust of the president, the company and the director. We are in line with the objective we must achieve.”
The priority, therefore, is to achieve peaceful salvation. Everything that comes after will be more. There are still doubts about the team, but Caserta has clear ideas about the boys: «Zuccon had the knee problem, he recovered slowly but now he is better – specified the coach from Sila -. Marras trained all week, unlike last week when he only had two days of work. They are fine, we will evaluate, but they are both available. Forte is calm, he knows he hasn’t committed any crime and if he doesn’t score he isn’t for off-field situations. He will be judged in the appropriate places, but he trains peacefully and the hope is that he will get better because he is important for us. For an attacker it is essential to score goals.”

A note also on what the sporting director, Gemmi, said to the team after the defeat against Ternana: «It wasn’t a scolding, the director speaks to the team almost every week during the year. It was a comparison to try to find the positive things after a defeat. During a championship there is no shortage of difficulties, but when you lose it doesn’t mean there are only negative things. This team’s path is good, they can do better because they have the qualities, but in a difficult championship like that of Serie B, bad periods can happen. The important thing is to all come together and fight for the common good that is called Cosenza.”

Cosenza does not lose the trust of its fans. Almost 500 will follow the team on this trip.
