If it is not a criminal escalation we are really very close. And in the last few days, three cars set on fire are only the tip of an iceberg which has unfortunately seen others destroyed during this year, without forgetting the sacrilegious theft in a church (the Ostia magna was stolen) and the subsequent mugging recently perpetrated against an elderly woman in the historic centre.
There is strong concern in the Arbëreshe town, as the level of fear has risen sharply, especially in the last week. In chronological order, the last two cars set on fire (eight since the beginning of 2025) do not currently appear to be linked to the rest of the criminal episodes but it is obvious that the investigations aim to establish a possible connection, especially since, more often than not, the arson hypothesis has been established. The latest attack was carried out at three in the morning yesterday, when a loud bang woke up the residents in Fossa del Lupo where the two parked cars, a Ford Kuga and another not yet clearly identified, were completely devastated.
