A territorial control service has been set up by the police commissioner of Crotone, Renato Panvino, in the cities of Crotone and Cirò Marina, to prevent and repress crimes and verify compliance with the measures imposed on people under house arrest and those under special surveillance.
The activity led to the identification of 618 people, of which 137 with criminal records, and the control of 279 vehicles. Overall, 21 home checks were carried out and 20 checkpoints were set up, with 14 Highway Code sanctions.
The Anti-Crime Division concentrated its checks on 17 people subjected to restrictive measures or special surveillance. The Immigration Office and Digos have identified 13 non-EU citizens, all legal on the national territory, also checking the declarations of hospitality in their favor.
The Traffic Police participated in the services, working on the state roads together with a crew from the Police Headquarters, the Railway Police, in the areas adjacent to the station and on the main city arteries, and the Crime Prevention Department.
