Late this afternoon a 34 year old gentleman, originally from the place, arrived in the hamlet to spend a few days of vacation, he felt ill on the beach, near the Brutium beachat the end of the Kennedy seafront, north side. The emergency services were immediately alerted and the 118 paramedics and the helicopter rescue from Cirò Marina intervened on site and landed in the olive grove in front of the middle school. However, the ambulance took the wrong turn and found itself on a beaten track that runs along the cycle path at the end of which there were bollards that were immediately moved by some bathers to allow the vehicle to pass. After the initial checks, the paramedics deemed it unnecessary to use the helicopter rescue and transported the man who had fallen ill by ambulance to the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Crotone for tests.
