Spain will challenge Italy tomorrow in the 2025 Davis Cup final on the indoor hard court in Bologna. The Iberian team beat Germany thanks to the success in the doubles, after a 1-1 draw in the singles: Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martinez overcame Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in three sets with a score of 6-2 3-6 6-3. The Spaniards immediately made a loud statement: they took a 4-0 lead, then canceled the two break points (5-1) that would have reopened the contest and went on to close at 6-2 in just over half an hour. The reaction of Krawietz and Puetz is immediate: there is only one break in the second set and it bears the signature of the Germans. In the third, however, there is another Spanish breakthrough with the break to zero in the fourth game (3-1). Spain defends the lead (4-1). Granollers and Martinez cancel the break point at 5-3 with an ace and again with the former they earn the match point which brings the match to a close. It will be Italy-Spain in Bologna, tomorrow, to win the salad bowl. These are the results of the singles: Pablo Carreno Busta (Esp) b. Jan-Lennard Struff (Ger) 6-4 7-6 (6); Alexander Zverev (Ger) b. Jaume Munar (Esp) 7-6 (2) 7-6 (5).
