“Donarte” in Messina, Reginald and Margareth Green visiting the cathedral

Reginald and Margareth Green in Messina 30 years after the death of their son, testify to the third international Donarte Conference 2024promoted by the Anesthesia and Resuscitation and Intensive Care Units of the Polyclinic with the University of Messina, an event that combines science and art, placing the theme of organ donation at the center of attention. In the morning the Green couple, after having been at the Polyclinic where on 1 October 1994 they authorized the removal of Nicholas’ organs, wanted to visit the Cathedral of Messina with the Cathedral Treasury. Welcomed by the archbishop’s delegate Don Roberto Romeo, Green appreciated the beauty of the building, stopping to listen to the notes of the Tamburini organ, the second largest instrument in Italy and the third largest in Europe.
