He hid 40 kilos of hashish in two false floors of his car. On charges of drug trafficking, the financiers of the Provincial Command of Reggio Calabria and the Villa San Giovanni company arrested a drug courier. This is a 58 year old man, originally from the province of Ragusa, who he was headed to Sicily and was stopped by the Financial Police at the Villa San Giovanni piers.
During the check, the man showed signs of nervousness. Therefore the financiers decided to thoroughly search the car and, thanks to the dog of the canine unit of the Pronto Impiego company of Reggio Calabria, they were discovered two false bottoms in which 400 blocks of hashish were hidden.
The drugs were seized as well as the vehicle used for transport, two cell phones and 1500 euros in cash that the man had with him. After the ritual formalities, the man from Ragusa was accompanied to the Arghillà prison at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office. If placed on the market, hashish could have earned organized crime around 300 thousand euros.
