The preliminary hearing against 16 people involved in the “Artemis” investigation has been set for October 27th, whose positions have been removed from the main investigation which involves 61 people. An investigation that would have led the Catanzaro Anti-Mafia District Directorate to discover a gang operating in the territories of Lametino, Cortale, Maida, Jacurso and Maierato. The association, according to the accusation, was linked to the ‘ndrine active in the province of Vibo and dedicated to drug trafficking.
At risk of ending up on trial: Simone Caruso, 35 years old; Alfredo Cracolici 34 years old; Giuseppe Cracolici 54 years old; Matteo Cracolici 26 years old; Michelangelo Gabriele Cunzolo 61 years old; Salvatore Iannelli known as “Puzzella” 26 years old; Salvatore Mascaro 32 years old; Moreno Mastantuolo 54 years old; Antonio Mauro 35 years old; Renato Mazza 42 years old; Gianluca Nicolosi 28 years old; Francesco Paolillo 67 years old; Emmanuel Pulice 28 years old; Marcello Pulice 47 years old; Bruno Regio 28 years old; Antonio Talarico 51 years old.
The offended parties include the Ministries of Justice, Health, the Interior, Defence, the Region and the municipalities of Lamezia, Maida and Cortale. Accusations that will now be examined by the judge of the preliminary hearing Roberta Cafiero, while the request for committal to trial was signed by the deputy prosecutor Romano Gallo.
