Early retirement: Women's Option 2024, here are the INPS instructions and the requirements for access

INPS has provided instructions for accessing the early retirement 'Woman Option'following the changes introduced by Budget law 2024.

Workers who, by 31 December 2023have developed acontributory seniority equal to or greater than 35 years it's a'chronological age of at least 61 years old and who, on the date of the application, are in one of the following conditions: they are assisted, on the date of submission of the pension application and for at least six months, by the spouse or part of the civil union or a first degree relative cohabiting with handicap in a serious situation (art. 3, paragraph 3, Law no. 104/1992), or a relative or second-degree relative cohabiting if the parents, spouse or civil partner of the person with a serious handicap have reached the age of seventy of age or are also affected by disabling pathologies or are deceased or missing; who have a reduction in working capacity, ascertained by the competent authorities Commissions for the recognition of civil disabilitygreater than or equal to 74 percent; female workers employed or dismissed from companies for which a discussion table for the management of the company crisis is active at the company crisis structure (art. 1, paragraph 852, Law no. 296/2006).

The conditions indicated – specifies the INPS – must exist on the date of submission of the pension application and must not be subject to further verification at the first effective date of the pension treatment.

The age requirement of 61 years old is reduced by one year for each child up to a maximum of two years.

For female workers employed or fired from companies for which a discussion table is active for the management of the company crisis, the maximum reduction of two years in the age requirement applies even in the absence of children.

The so-called early pension Woman Option is paid according to the calculation rules of the contributory system.

Employed and self-employed workers who complete the personal and contributory requirements required by the law will obtain the pension after: twelve months from the date of maturation of the required requirements, in the event that the pension is paid by the forms of social security for employees ; eighteen months from the date of fulfillment of the required requirements, in the event that the treatment is paid by the social security management of self-employed workers. For female workers in the school and AFAM sectors, the provisions of article 59, paragraph 9, of law no. apply. 449/1997 (effective September 1st/November 1st).
