It started this morning and proceeds rather slowly (at 11 am we reached about a third) the bare of the elections for the metropolitan council of Messina. The second level elections, in which only the administrators (mayors and municipal councilors) of the capital and the province vote, with a weighted vote, concern only the councilors: in each metropolitan city, in fact, unlike the free consortia, the current metropolitan mayors remain in office, therefore to Messina Federico Basile. There are 14 seats up for grabs, and the forecasts were soon made: 4 to the south call Nord, 3 to the League, 2 to Fratelli d’Italia, 1 each in Forza Italia, Grande Sicilia, Christian Democracy and Democratic Party. The 14th seat in the balance, which many foresee can go to the south call Nord. However, surprises are not excluded for possible “betrayals”, of which it is rumored in the corridors of the Palazzo dei Leoni.
