The Center Left towards the broader coalition in the path leading to the 2026 Administrative elections. The new coalition which should involve other parties and civic movements, as well as individual citizens, launches the challenge to “rebuild” Barcelona. Pd, Psi and Città Aperta have signed a pact for a new beginning. They state: “We need a change of direction after years of disruption and degradation.” The three political subjects have signed a programmatic document which represents the basis of an “open, inclusive and alternative” political project to the Calabrò administration. The objective is to mark a clear discontinuity with the recent past, which the coalition judges as the bearer of “years of decline, disservices and administrative failures. A city without prospects after years of mismanagement”. A very harsh analysis: “In recent years – we read – those who have governed the city have not only been unable to bring any benefits, but have significantly worsened the living conditions of families and businesses”. Barcelona, according to the coalition, today presents itself as a city “without prospects for economic and social development, with infrastructure dilapidated, dirty and devoid of the most basic services for citizens”.
