The president of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiutowill participate today and tomorrow, in its qualities of Deputy National Secretary of Forza Italia and member of the Committee of the Regions, at the Congress of the European People’s Party, underway in Valencia.
The PPE Assizes will involve 800 delegates and 1,200 guests from 40 countries during the two days.
Interventions by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der leyenof the President of the EU Parliament, Roberta Metsolaof the vice premier and Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio TajanI – which will present and illustrate a resolution on competitiveness and industry -, and 15 heads of state or government.
Forza Italia, for decades protagonist within the PPE, with the president Silvio Berlusconi who has contributed to rooting and growing this reality, will participate in the congress with a large delegation and will support, as announced by the party, the recovery of Manfred Weber at the helm of the PPE.
