Exploitation of workers in Catanzaro, the entrepreneur Paoletti admits his responsibilities

Paolo Paoletti chose the abbreviated ritethe entrepreneur accused of having vented his employees of the five supermarkets for years attributable to him to distribute between Montepaone, Soverato and Chiaravalle Centrale, in the Catanzaro area. During the hearing Paoletti, defended by lawyers Sergio Rotundo and Francesco Gambardella, made spontaneous statements admitting his responsibilities regarding certain charges that are contested. In total 51 people were established, most of whom are employees.
In addition to Paoletti, three collaborators of the entrepreneur have chosen the abbreviated rite, Rosario Martinez Paoletti, Vittorio Fusto, Tiziana Nisticò and Vito Doriaunion conciliator of the Uila, accused of having entered into “multiple transactions’ Tombalì accordance with the positions of the workers subject to exploitation, thus ensuring the association to crime the profit of the crimes”. For them the procedure will continue on June 18th. Antonio Citriniti, Paolo Giordano, Maria Teresa Panariello, Giorgio Rizzuto, Anna Valentino, also their collaborators from Paoletti, did not ask for alternative rites. The prosecutor Saverio Sapia has asked for the prosecutor. The preliminary hearing will continue on April 28th for the PM replies and decision of the gup Mario Santoemma.
From the investigation, conducted by the Guardia di Finanza and coordinated by the Catanzaro prosecutor, inadequate salaries would have emerged, or in any case insufficient compared to the quantity and quality of the work done (4 euros per hour, in the face of a performance of work activity of over 50 hours a week), the subtraction, with return in cash, of part of the remuneration behind the threat of the dismissal and leveraging the state of employee need.
