On the day when ACR Messina keeps the bench theAffair delegatestakes a position too Francesco BorgosanoCEO of Huddle and the intermediary of the American consortium interested in the purchase of the club, through the first official communication since the negotiation was bound. And he does it through an open letter that represents his personal position but “tells” what the group he represented has done, which as reported by the email address, would be referable to the Luduspartners.

The letter

In light of recent developments, I feel the need to write these words for the love of Messina and my Messina, the city where I was born and raised and the team for which I have always cheered. I do this following the further corporate developments in Aad highlighted by the note of the mayor Basile himself. I could have avoided exposing myself, as on the other hand I did during this “negotiation” that has been much longer and more articulated than it has arrived in these weeks. But I feel the duty to clarify. For the good of truth, for the honorability of my person and my professional reputation. Everything was born almost by chance, last autumn, when together with other members we imagined investing in a project as beautiful as it is ambitious: to return prestige and dignity to Messina, mine, our team of the heart. Over the past few months I have promoted the negotiations for the acquisition of the ACR Messina from Aad Invest Group, with the aim of guaranteeing new financial resources and solid sports development for the team. As a Messina area, even before as an entrepreneur, I tried in every way to overcome the numerous challenges that emerged during the negotiating process, eager to contribute to an ambitious future for society and the city. However, the difficulties encountered in the collaboration with the current property involved a slowdown in the two diligence process, which, although it was only partially conducted, highlighted a debt and legal situation not in line with our standards. In light of these critical issues, and in the absence of the conditions necessary to proceed, I see myself forced to communicate, with regret, the impossibility of completing the acquisition of the ACR Messina. I believed and tried to the end, with all my strength, but I had to surrender in front of a complex situation. I feel the duty to thank the professionals, representatives of the institutions, friends and people who have been spent to try to make this project possible. Including those who silently tried to help us transform this beautiful dream into reality. I was not looking for visibility and I won’t look for it even now. I apologize, for this, with the many journalists who in recent months have sought me: my position remains the same as always. I am and I will continue to be a fan of Messina. Like those thousands of fantastic guys who have always supported and will support our team. However it goes. To them – you will forgive me – my greatest thanks go. I would like to thank the DS Domenco Rome, the Mister Bancheri, the technical staff and all the players who continue to work with passion despite the difficulties and uncertainty. And it is for them that the bitterness of not being able to close this negotiation is even bigger. My personal wish is that there may be days of joy and glory again for all of us fans of Messina Calcio. Come on Messina. Always.
