It will be a three-way race in the next administrative elections in Crotone. In addition to the outgoing mayor Vincenzo Voce and the center-left candidate Giuseppe Trocino, yesterday the candidacy of the lawyer Fabrizio Meo, outgoing city councilor, arrived. Meo entrusted the official nature of his decision to a short press note: «I am running for mayor of this city of ours», he wrote and then added: «Five years of harsh, uncompromising opposition have allowed me to acquire awareness of the missed opportunities and a degree of knowledge of the administrative machine that makes me understand the serious shortcomings but also the solutions».
It is not the first time that Meo presents himself as mayor to the voters, he did the same thing in 2016, supported by the civic list “Crotone Libera – È Ora – Insieme”, with which he obtained 746 votes (equal to approximately 2.15%), and in 2020 with the “Manifesto for Crotone” movement. On this occasion he collected 881 votes (around 2.73%) and was elected opposition councilor.
