The two sentences of thirty years of imprisonment inflicted at first instance for a murder in 2004 in San Mauro Torinese, which proved to be the epilogue of a 40 -year long revenge revenge, were confirmed in Turin. To lose his life was Giuseppe Gioffrè, 77 -year -old pensioner killed with gunshots in the public garden in front of his home. In the 1960s, the man managed in Sant’Eufemia di Aspromonte (Reggio Calabria) a resale of food that disturbed the commercial activities of a local clan, and during a quarrel he caused the death of two people. As he discounted the sentence in prison, his wife and son were killed.
In 1976, once he returned to freedom, he moved to Piedmont, remarried and found a job. But in 2004 he fell victim to the ambush. A few months later the arrest of a first suspicion, to which 21 years of imprisonment were imposed. In 2022 the investigations were reopened; The carabinieri used new IT systems and had the traces of the traces present on a bottle found close to a car that the killers had given on fire. We then came to the arrest of Paolo Alvaro and of Giuseppe Crea60 and 47 years old, for which the sentence was also pronounced today in the second instance of judgment. According to what was reconstructed, in 1964 a relative approached the lifeless body of one of the two people killed by Gioffrè and drank the blood: a gesture that symbolized the promise of a revenge.
