So much fear. A tanker truck transporting gas was involved in an accident. To avoid a collision with another car he literally ended up inside a bar. The episode occurred in the Apollinara district on the outskirts of the urban area of Corigliano.
What happened could have had dramatic consequences: fortunately the accident caused no deaths or injuries. It all happened this afternoon, when the truck collided with a car and in an attempt to avoid a head-on collision between the two vehicles, it ran off the road, smashing into the entrance to a bar in the rural area, entering the cab with the cab. At that time, fortunately, the business was closed and there was no one inside. Despite the dramatic accident, the drivers of the two vehicles involved were also unharmed, but were still taken to the nearest emergency room to undergo the necessary checks. The firefighters of the Corigliano Rossano detachment intervened on site and first closed the valves of the gas tank and made the area safe. The entire perimeter where the accident occurred has also been isolated to avoid a possible dispersion of gas or, even worse, an explosion of the vehicle.
Municipal police officers also arrived on site and, in addition to starting their own investigations, they regulated the traffic as the intersection, which also represents an important road junction for the districts of the urban area of Corigliano, remained temporarily closed to vehicular traffic to allow for technical verification operations.
