The termination provision has been issued to the detriment of the concession contract for the Crotone Olympic Swimming Pool towards the ATI BLU DEA. The municipal manager of sector 2 Francesco Marano has already scheduled the meeting of the companies at the plant for the next few hours for the purpose of returning the goods. Also within the next few hours the municipal administration will implement all the actions necessary for the preservation of the property.
At the same time, discussions with the Italian Swimming Federation (FIN) are continuing at a rapid pace to evaluate the possibility of co-management of the swimming pool, in order to guarantee continuity of sporting activities and ensure transparent and participatory management. It is the administration’s intention to use every possible effort to guarantee management continuity in the shortest possible time.
The administration decided to anticipate this news this morning during the meeting at the Town Hall that the mayor Vincenzo Voce, the deputy mayor Sandro Cretella, the sports councilor Luca Bossi and the sector manager Francesco Marano held with a delegation of parents, athletes, supporters and pool goers, who had requested the meeting in recent days.
Today’s meeting represented an opportunity for direct discussion between the Administration and citizens, with the aim of sharing information on the state of management of the plant and on future initiatives aimed at guaranteeing full use of the structure.
Mayor Voce underlined how the Olympic swimming pool plays a strategic, social and educational role, highlighting that it is a place where young people grow, learn fundamental values such as respect, discipline and collaboration, and where all citizens can recognize themselves in a common experience of sport and aggregation.
At the end of the meeting, the Administration wanted to express heartfelt thanks to the delegates for their willingness to dialogue and for the commitment shown in enhancing the Olympic swimming pool.
The Administration reiterated its desire to work together with the community to build a shared path, oriented towards the good of citizens and the promotion of a solid and inclusive sporting culture, ensuring that every decision will be taken in the public interest, with transparency and attention to the values of sport and the educational growth of young people.
