Moments of fear and tragedy narrowly avoided only by chance on Friday night along Via Toscaninione of the main roads of the flat capital which connects the National Road 18 to the SP1 (formerly State Road 111), usually very busy, especially in the summer. It was in fact around 11.30pm when a camper parked in a house in the cluster of houses better known as “Residence degli Ulivi” suddenly caught fire for reasons still being investigated but, in all likelihood, following a short circuit, without anyone, not even the owners who had already gone to bed at the time, noticing.
The flames therefore had time to develop, reaching the height of the roof of the villa and licking the entire facade with its fixtures. Only at that point, an unaware motorist in transit and a family of neighbors who at that moment were returning home noticed the fire and raised the alarm by telephone contacting the Fire Department and the police.
