The Fire Brigade of the Vibo Valentia Command intervened today, 9 December 2024, in Tropea in Corso Vittorio Emanuele for a fire in an apartment. At around 2pm, the command operations room received a report via NUE (single emergency number) 112 from some passers-by who had seen smoke coming out of the second floor of a building with three floors above ground. The Command Operations Room promptly sent the team from the Ricadi Detachment and a platform from the headquarters. Once the Fire Brigade arrived on site, they began the work of extinguishing the fire, which had affected a storage room, ensuring that it was extinguished. During the firefighting operations, the entire building was evacuated as a precaution. No injuries to people were reported.
