The first 9 of the 15 trucks financed by the Italian government have entered the Gaza Strip through the “Food for Gaza” project and donated to the UN Pam (WFP) Pam. The Farnesina makes it known. Thanks to the collaboration with the Pam, the 9 trucks have now arrived on the Palestinian side of the Israeli pass of Kerem Shalom, a path that should follow the remaining 6 in the next few hours. The trucks have been changed to be able to act as “forklifts” inside the strip and distribute flour and other food aid in the various distribution points managed or recognized by the Pam. In these hours the situation in the strip is very delicate, there have been many assaults of the population both to moving vehicles and the bakeries and distribution centers. The new arrival of aid is added to the previous humanitarian interventions carried out by the Italian government, which has already mobilized 35 million euros and more than 100 tons of food and medical supplies in favor of the population of Gaza
