A package of rules, contained in an amendment to the Budget law being discussed in the competent committees in the Senate, intended to rewrite the perimeter of the Calabrian healthcare system. The signature at the bottom of the proposals is that of Claudio Lotito, senator of Forza Italia and patron of Lazio football, attentive to regional health dynamics. Already last year the Italian parliamentarian had become the protagonist of an initiative – which later foundered due to the League’s “no” – aimed at ensuring a criminal shield for the managers of the Calabrian health authorities responsible for approving the budgets for the years preceding 2022. And again recently Lotito’s name has come back into fashion for the assignment of a 45 million euro contract for the cleaning services of the Cosenza ASP to the group of companies attributable in some way to the senator himself and ended up at the center of a question by deputy Vittoria Baldino (M5S).
