So said Ferdinando De Giorgi, to the microphones of Sky Sport, after the victory in the quarterfinals of the Italian volleyball team at the Paris Olympics against Japan. “It’s a group that can grow a lot, we are compact and we work on this. I know that when difficult moments arrive they don’t give up, but they bring out something more. I hope that the Italians were proud of us”, concluded De Giorgi.
“Japan is one of the strongest in the world. We already knew it before facing them, they play at international levels. We fought until the end, we are really happy”. We will have to play like this again”, concluded Giannelli.

Yuri Romanò comments with these words, to the microphones of Sky Sport, the success obtained in the semifinal against Japan at the end of a sensational comeback. “We knew it would be tough, maybe not that much, but they defended very well and with great quality, they attacked and hit very hard, we suffered together, we were united until the end and we brought home the result – added the Italian -. Now we need to rest as much as possible because we need it, then we will think about the semifinals and I am sure that we will play at our best”.
