The Calabrian wines return to the prowein stage, one of the most influential winemakers at an international level which, for over thirty years, has made Düsseldorf capital of wine and unmissable destination for the most important sector players, with 17 pavilions, over 3,900 exhibitors, more than 6,400 labels present.
It is in this exceptional scenario that the wines of Calabria, on the initiative of the Region and with the commitment of Arsac, are preparing to present themselves to operators, communicators and professionals in the sector during tastings to tasting desks, from Sunday 16 to Tuesday 18 March, at the Düsseldorf fair.

All aimed at strengthening the presence of our wines in Germany, also thanks to the strong Italian and Calabrian community that lives there “.
In this edition, in fact, The Calabria Region will play a leading role as Main sponsor of the Meininger Award – Excellence in Wine & Spirit, The prize established in 2006, dedicated to the most influential personalities of the wine and alcohol sector. The ceremony, scheduled for Saturday 15 March, will see the participation of an exceptional guest parterre, from the great wine maison to distributors, sommeliers and signatures of internationally renowned journalism. It is on the occasion of this exclusive dinner, in particular, that the Calabrian wines will be in the front row: the menu of the evening will in fact be accompanied by a selection of the best labels, spokesperson for all expressions of the region’s wine production. A unique opportunity to tell the history and evolution of Made in Calabria wines to an international audience, consolidating this region as one of the most interesting and promising realities of the Italian and Mediterranean wine scene.
An all -round excursus in Calabrian enology that will continue during the day of Sunday 16 at 16 with the masterclass by Weinwirtschaft, one of the longest -running sector magazines in Germany. The appointment will focus on the story, edited by the editor Miriam Müller, of the different wine souls of the region, from the vineyards of the coast and then go into the hinterland, in order to enhance the variety of autochthonous territories and vines that define the multifaceted character of the Calabrian wines.
