The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, received today, at the Quirinale, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, on whose proposal he signed the decree appointing Gianmarco Mazzi, former undersecretary for culture, as Minister of Tourism.

Meloni therefore ceases to hold the interim position of Minister of Tourism. Immediately afterwards the new Minister took the oath in the hands of the President of the Republic, in the presence, as witnesses, of the general secretary of the Presidency of the Republic, Ugo Zampetti, and of the military advisor to the President of the Republic, General Gianni Candotti. Prime Minister Meloni and Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano were present.

«Tourism is a world full of charm and great professionalism that requires careful care because it represents a pillar of the Italian economy. I am honored by this role and I thank the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister for the trust placed in me.” This was declared by the new Minister of Tourism Gianmarco Mazzi, after taking the oath at the Quirinale. «Thanks also to Minister Alessandro Giuli, working together on culture has been exciting and we will continue to do so», concluded Mazzi.
