Professor Gianpaolo Iazzolino has been elected new coordinator of the Management Engineering Course of Studies at the University of Calabria (Unical). The vote recorded all the preferences in favor of Iazzolino. The newly elected takes over from Professor Giusy Ambrogio, who has held the coordination position for the last six years.

The guidelines of the new coordinator

In his first statement, Iazzolino assured «the maximum commitment to the service of our great course of studies, after the excellent work of those who preceded me, and I am sure that all together we will be able to obtain increasingly better results in the direction of the development and growth of the entire community of Unical management engineers».

Gianpaolo Iazzolino is an associate professor in the sector of Economic-Management Engineering. He is the author of over a hundred scientific publications on topics such as corporate performance evaluation systems, entrepreneurship and innovation, value creation processes, sustainability and ESG. He is also a member of the technical commission for the evaluation of spin-offs and was delegated for the right to education in the past governance of Unical.

Greetings from the outgoing coordinator

Professor Giusy Ambrogio congratulated her, defining Iazzolino’s result as a “plebiscite of affirmation” which must be interpreted as a double result: “Certainly a personal affirmation from her colleague which identifies a valid candidacy recognized by all to fill this role, but it is also synonymous with a great unity of the Course of Studies which in a cohesive way has always implemented policies aimed at enhancing quality in teaching”.

Relevance of the course of study

The Management Engineering Course of Studies is among the most active and dynamic at the Arcavacata University. The degree is characterized by very high employability rates, attributed to the alignment of the training path with the needs of the job market, as well as to the enthusiasm and sense of belonging that involves teachers, administrative staff and students of the course.
