«No layoffs affected Lirosi Autoservizi, which by service contract with the Calabria Region operates in the field of local public transport in the territory of the Piana di Gioia Tauro, Reggio Calabria, Catanzaro, Cosenza University. The current company is under technical-legal management entrusted to a judicial administrator and is not interested in redundancies, guaranteeing the ordinary management of regional transport services on a daily basis”.
This was declared in an official note by the provincial secretariats of Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl and Uil Trasporti regarding the dispute concerning the Lirosi companies, highlighting that the critical administrative conditions which resulted in the consequent dismissals of a suitable number of workers (“for which – they point out – nothing could be done, due to the closure of activities for several reasons, certainly questionable from the union point of view and expressed in the meeting venues”) involved three of the four companies belonging to the “Lirosi” group each with its own administrative address, identified as “Fin Lir”, a company that carried out the front office and ticket offices; “Lirosi Linee”, interregional line services; “Lirosi Service, maintenance workshop services.
