Green light of the Council of Ministers to the extraordinary plan of 180 million euros for the areas most at risk of Italy: 20 million will go to the municipalities of Rosarno and San Ferdinando, indicated by the Ministry of the Interior as difficult and degraded environmental contexts, characterized by social vulnerability and youth discomfort. They will be recipients of infrastructure interventions and social redevelopment projects, as required by the plan, drawn up thanks to the profitable dialogue between the extraordinary commissioner Fabio Ciciliano and the mayors of Rosarno and San Ferdinando, Pasquale Cutrì and Luca Gaetano.
The Cicilian Commissioner, who saw emergency situations in Calabria with his own eyes, played an important role in defining the interventions, analyzing and evaluating the proposals presented by the Calabrian administrators. Proposals then examined at Palazzo Chigi, during a meeting chaired by Premier Giorgia Meloni, with the technicians who made the extraordinary plan with the mayors involved in the Caivano-bis decree.
Rosarno and San Ferdinando are beneficiaries of 10 million euros each, resources of the development and cohesion fund, which will be spent within three years: the works will be carried out under the direction of the commissioner, which has special powers. No contract will be entrusted by the Municipalities.
