The Akademia Sant’Anna offers itself another international-level reinforcement. This is the spiker of Bulgarian nationality, Ani Bozdeva, born in 1999, 186 cm.
Coming from Olympiada Neapolis, the Cypriot club with which she played the first part of the season, reaching the round of 32 of the Challenge Cup, the new place 4 of the Sicilians, born in Razlog (Bulgaria), perfected her studies in the United States, also enriching his range of sporting experiences.
Having completed her youth career in VC Maritza, with which she also won a Bulgarian championship, in the 2017-18 season she moved overseas to attend Eastern Arizona College, winning the ACCAC Conference, Region I and District B and obtaining the qualification for the NJCAA national tournament.
From 2018 to 2021, she continued her career as a student and athlete with Coastal Carolina University. His qualities have not gone unnoticed, given the numerous recognitions including the nomination in the First Team All-Sun Belt in 2020 and 2021. After the experience in the USA, he returns to Europe to wear the jersey of Pałac Bydgoszcz, in Poland, before moving – for two seasons – to the Turkish club TED Ankara Kolejliler.
He represented Bulgaria in the Under-18 and Under-20 national teams, participating in the 2015 and 2016 European Championships, and the 2017 World Championship in Mexico.
With the hiring of Ani Bozdeva, who becomes the thirteenth athlete on the roster, Akademia Sant’Anna ensures a valuable reinforcement.
Ani will wear the number 1 shirt and, starting tomorrow, he will be available to the technical staff to start this new adventure. Messina supporters can dream big with another important piece to better face the rest of the season.
